Training Opportunities

GIDEP Clinic

Clinics are typically designed with the new GIDEP Representative in mind to learn about the program and how to set up GIDEP at their company/organization. The Clinic may also be beneficial for established GIDEP members to touch base with new and upcoming program initiatives. Clinics are normally held during the month of November, however, check the Clinic page for the actual dates/location of the upcoming Clinic. Attendance is open to registered GIDEP participants.

The GIDEP Clinic gives the opportunity for registered participants to cover the following:

• "Tips" on conducting GIDEP at their company/organization
• GIDEP Products and Services
• Submitting Data
• Hands-on training w/helpful instructors
• Search techniques for accessing GIDEP data
• Networking with other GIDEP participants
• Meet the GIDEP Program Management, Data Management Team and staff
• Spend some time in sunny, southern California

GIDEP Workshop

Workshops are somewhat different than the GIDEP Clinic. The Workshop is formatted like a symposium and encourages outside activities (other than the GIDEP Operations Center) to present topics of varied interests. Presentation topics are not restricted to the subject of GIDEP. In addition to the presentations, a mini-clinic is scheduled to briefly cover GIDEP related topics similar to those presented in the Clinic.

GIDEP Workshops are held annually in May at various locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Workshop attendance provides valuable information and networking opportunities to industry and government executives, technical managers, engineers, analysts, and other GIDEP related disciplines. GIDEP Workshops are open to non-GIDEP participants, as well as, the many registered GIDEP activities.

In addition to the GIDEP Clinic and Workshop, the following opportunities are also available to participants to learn how to conduct the business of GIDEP in your company/organization.

Quarterly Training

If you opt to join the program and would like training in a small group, GIDEP offers Quarterly Training at the GIDEP Operations Center.
Quarterly Training sessions are from 1-2 days in length and offer the following:

Optional - Reserved for classes which have a large enrollment.

GROWs

GIDEP Regional Outreach Workshops (GROWs) are hosted by participants (with assistance from GIDEP) at their own work place. This gives registered and potential participants in the immediate area the opportunity to learn more about GIDEP without having to travel great distances for additional GIDEP training. Non-GIDEP participants are often welcome at many GROWs. See the GIDEP Calendar for GROWs scheduled in your area and any attendance restrictions.
