Calibration procedures are our main reason for using GIDEP. Being a calibration laboratory serving such a wide array of industries, and maintaining accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025, it is important that we have access to current, validated procedures. We use the NavAir and Air Force procedures for all areas of calibration. We support digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, torque measurement instruments, linear measurement equipment, force testing, mass calibration, rotary motion, chemical testing (pH), and bio-pharmaceutical equipment. For us to write, test, and validate our own procedures for all of these measurement areas would be quite the task, both financially, as well as the consideration of time loss. Our estimate on how much A-Cal saves in money because of the GIDEP Metrology Data Search 32 program is about $2,500. With GIDEP being used in our facility, those costs are kept to a minimum. Your service benefits our customers as well. The customer can rest assured that the procedures utilized by our facility are engineered and validated by the team of engineers at the Corona facility. Our external auditors from these customers no longer need to validate our procedures for their vendor approvals. This, again, saves both the customer and our organization a considerable amount of time and money.
