NG Metrology supports all programs from NASA, DoD to Commercial projects.
There were 250 GIDEP metrology calibration procedures that were actually used by the NGST EMC Metrology lab. One hundred (100) calibration procedures were used to perform calibrations for a total cost savings of 800 hours at an overhead rate of $92/hr. This comes to a total of $73,600 in cost savings.
One hundred fifty (150) GIDEP calibration procedures were used as reference documents for a cost savings of 375 hours at an overheate of $92/hr. The total cost avoidance in the development of new calibration procedures are $34,500.
The total combined cost savings is $108,100 in cost avoidance for the year beginning October 2003 to September 2004.
