Submitting this UDR for a Source of Supply through the UDR system resulted in a decreased work effort of approximately 90 percent. The UDR resulted in locating a Source of Supply for the listed part. The difference between potential costs by vendor price quote and what it would cost to redesign or reverse engineer the part would result in the cost avoidance as indicated. Locating the existing part and avoiding redesigning or reverse engineering the part allows for extending the sustainability period of the current AFSCN system while permitting transference of funds to other critical systems.
