MANAGEMENT REPORTS (MR)
Reports and studies which include project plans, management plans, cost studies, management problems and solutions, guidelines, manufacturing facilities, procedures, and operations research. Management reports include:
- Cost studies/life cycle costs
- Design analysis and decision techniques
- Engineering practices
- Facilities and construction management
- Human resources management
- Lessons learned
- Management program plans and guides
- Safety management
- Total quality ,management practices, techniques and guidelines
- Workload management
- Waste disposal and management
- GIDEP documentation including cost reduction, directives, information retrieval, operational methods, participation requirements, presentations, procedures, program implementation, promotional methods, records management, reporting to management and utilization reporting - Since June 1993, all pertaining documents has been classified under GIDEP Specific Documents (GSD). Thus, any prior document prior to June 1993 are found under this category MR
TEST REPORTS (TR)
Reports covering qualification and evaluation testing of parts, components, materials and related systems. This document designator includes procedures for conducting tests and may include data from the resultant test. Test reports include:
- Chemical tests.
- Engineering evaluation tests of parts and components
- Ergonomic tests
- Fatigue and material tests
- Final acceptance tests
- Fluid dynamics tests
- Re qualifications tests
- Software tests
- Thermal analysis
- Thermodynamic tests
- Wind tunnel tests
- Test and inspection procedures
- Failure analysis test results - Since June 1993, all pertaining documents have been classified under Failure Analysis under Reliability and Maintainability Data. Prior documents, prior to June 1993, have not yet been moved from this category MR.
NONSTANDARD PARTS DATA (NP)
Specifications for parts and components which have been submitted to a government activity for approval to use on a specific type of equipment which are not included on the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) military standard parts list. Data in this area includes a Nonstandard Parts Approval Request (DD Form 2052 or equivalent) which was submitted to and approved by the procuring activity, any documentation on the part's parameters, supporting justification, and non developmental item specifications (not designated PS) or any documentation on the part's parameter.
PROCESS SPECIFICATIONS (PS)
General specifications for processes and procedures used to produce parts, components and materials. Such subjects are:
- Environmental simulation procedures.
- Manufacturing procedures
- Nonmilitary procurements specifications including parts specifications, test procedures, process control and parts application. Does not include specifications included under NP.
- Process and material specifications
- Process procedures
- Repair procedures
- Source control drawings and specifications
- Nondestructive testing specifications and procedures
SOLDERING TECHNOLOGY LIBRARY (STL)
Reports on solderability and soldering processes and related topics. This category includes:
- Manufacturing processes and methods
- Process controls and inspection methods
- Soldering papers and publications
- Soldering practices and methods
- Soldering specifications and procedures
COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY DOCUMENT (CTD)
General documents on computer software or hardware. These include qualification or design. Such topics are computer aided design, computer algorithms, computer code, integrated manufacturing, computer interfaces, network, procurement, computer program, computer resources, computer science, computer simulation, and system.
